Set in London in 1912, My Fair Lady follows the captivating story of the arrogant phonetics professor, Henry Higgins who sets out to win a bet that he can turn Cockney Eliza Doolittle into a lady who will be accepted into the highest social echelons. The musical begins at Covent Garden market with Eliza surrounded by her Cockney friends and moves to Higgins’ house so that the transformation from lowly flower-seller can begin. Higgins and Eliza clash, then form an unlikely bond -- one that is threatened by an aristocratic suitor!
With a wonderful score and book by Lerner and Lowe, based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, the show is packed with all-time classics such as Wouldn’t it be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, I Could Have Danced All Night and On The Street Where You Live, and many more.
