Bridgwater & Taunton College’s Creative Arts Department delivers an outstanding and creative learning experience across Bridgwater and Taunton campuses. Driven by the needs of the industry, students are supported to gain the skills, knowledge and attributes to make significant contributions to the sector and the wider community.
The creative industries employ over two million people in the UK and are projected to create an additional one million jobs by 2030. Our students benefit from industry standard facilities and on many courses the opportunity to simulate a live working environment such as at the College’s McMillan Theatre. Industry professionals regularly undertake talks, give workshops, provide work experience and help set and feedback on assignment briefs, increasing the professionalism and employability of our students.
Our courses are designed to enable individualised pathways of study and digital platforms continue to be developed to support independent learning.
We excel in providing enrichment opportunities for all students with skills-based Academies in Performing Arts, Dance, Media, Fashion, Design, Photography, Animation and Music were students enter competitions, work with a range of external clients, and prepare external showcases.
Students can choose to study on one of our many Creative A Levels, opt for a full time vocational Diploma in their chosen subject or complete work-based learning on one of our Creative Apprenticeships.
