Covid Safety and reopening

We are excited to be open for theatre users and are looking forward to welcoming you. We are monitoring and following government advice and have prepared the theatre accordingly. Below you will find an outline of some of the measures in place across the theatre.

SOCIAL DISTANCING & PROTECTION
New signage, hand sanitising stations, information points and protective face-to face screens have been installed where required. Whilst at the theatre, you must wear a face covering throughout your visit except when eating and drinking.

TEMPERATURE TESTING
All visitors and staff will be requested to have their temperature taken on arrival.

UPDATED SEATING PLAN
A new seating plan is in place, this allows a 2m distance between groups or individuals.  If you need additional seats for your household please call the Box Office. This will vary depending on the capacity for each event.

ADDITIONAL CLEANING
We have enhanced our cleaning programme to include cleaning and sanitising the high touch points within the theatre.

HAND WASHING
All toilets will be stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap, and stringent hand washing guidelines will be followed by all staff to supplement our current 5 star hygiene policy.

AIR HANDLING SYSTEM
The McMillan Theatre is equipped with an air-conditioned fresh air fed system. Fresh air is fed into lower levels of the theatre and extracted from the top.

E-TICKETING
Tickets can be purchased on the website up to 1 hour before each event.

CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS
We are able to accept contactless card payments up to a value of £45.

STAFF TRAINING & PPE
All staff will receive COVID-19 training and PPE will be provided to employees where the risk assessment has deemed it necessary, in line with government requirements. Our trained staff will be on hand to offer assistance to customers.

We look forward to welcoming you back to The McMillan Theatre, if you have any questions please email us at: info@mcmillantheatre.com

Thank you for your support.
