The McMillan Theatre is firmly committed to enabling all of our customers to participate in our events equally and with dignity and respect. We aim to be accessible to all, showing a varied programme of events and providing special facilities to meet the needs of all our customers. Please let the Box Office know when booking your seats if you or any of your party have any specific access needs. The Box Office and the Front of House staff are available and happy to help whenever possible.
We have fully electric sliding doors at the main entrance, entering to Box Office level.
An accessible lift links the foyer, Dance Studio, Exhibition Spaces and the auditorium at First Circle Level (not the upper circle). Max dimensions: 1.3m deep x 0.85m wide
There is an accessible toilet adjacent to our accessible seats.
An in-seat drinks service is available for the interval upon request.
There are three disabled parking space directly outside the theatre, as well as ground floor parking in our car park.
An accessible lift (Max dimensions: 1.3m deep x 0.85m wide) links the foyer to First Circle where our Accessible Seating is situated in the auditorium. This seating is level access and movable/removable to accommodate wheelchair users. The accessible seating can be booked through the Box Office on 01278 556677 (open 9am - 2pm Monday - Friday)
The McMillan Theatre will issue a Concession (Essential Companion ticket*) or Complimentary Access card holder ticket* to customers booking seats in the Accessible Seating area and providing evidence that they require an essential carer. Carer/Companion tickets* are bookable through the Box Office (*Subject to availability for each particular show)

This policy is for customers accompanying those for whom it would be significantly difficult for them to access services without direct support from another person. The support needed should be substantial, significant or frequent; directly related to the needs of the disabled person and who without it would receive a lesser service. The support needed must be in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family/friends already accompanying you and must be due to disability-related needs.

The theatre is equipped with a infra-red audio enhancement system. Headsets are available from the Box Office.
